A Fordian Trip
Ford Experimental Vehicles sign
Amusement was not hard to find

Experimental Vehicles, now this is the kind of stuff I want to see. Prototype Taurus wagonI reillegally parked The Cat by the entrance sign, grabbed my camera and wandered over. Now, in case you haven't figured it out, I'm wandering the Experimental Vehicles section, which is full of prototypes, not-yet-released-to-the-public models, one-off test models, and the like. And I've got a camera, which I'm using to grab pictures of cars that catch my eye, such as the prototype right-hand drive Taurus, and 1999 Mustangs pictured here.

For some reason, Ford Security had a problem with this. :)

Just after I snapped the picture of the Mustangs, a Ford Security cruiser pulled up along side me, and the following conversation ensued. two 1999 Mustang Convertibles

Ford Security Guy: "Excuse me, are you a Ford employee."
Pixel: "Nope." (stands on tip-toes and peers over cruiser at cars behind it)
F.S.G.:"Then what are you doing here?"
Pixel:"Just wandering around."
F.S.G.:"How did you get here?"
Pixel:"Drove." (Points to The Cat, still illegally parked near the entrance sign)
F.S.G.: (looking at The Cat with a dumbfounded expression) " Umm.. well.. This is a restricted area, you're not allowed to take pictures here."
Pixel:"Oh, ok. Can I take one of you guys though?"
F.S.G.:"No."

Ford Experimental Vehicles building
At which point I wandered across the street and snapped this picture, unfortunately you can't see the Ford Security Cruiser, which was parked over near the tall tree.

Then I hopped back into The Cat, and continued my trek Iowaward.
